The first official G.I.Joe comic newsletter went out from Josh Blaylock (the writer of the new comic) on Monday, July 9th. Among the details-
The Devil's Due staff will be attending the San Diego Comic Con in July and the Chicago Wizard World Con in August. They will be giving away free posters featuring the G.I.Joe #1 cover art and will be selling the G.I.Joe Convention Special. Any remaining convention specials will most likely be available online.
Also, the Devil's Due staff is running a "Name the Letters Page" contest for the new comic book. You must physically mail your idea for a letters column name name, age, address, and phone number (optional) to Devil's Due Publishing, 4633 N. Western Ave, suite 210, Chicago, IL 60625. Postmark deadline for the contest is August 1st. The winner will receive a piece of original G.I.Joe Art.

David Michael Beck, whose stunning Snake Eyes artwork was featured on the
front cover of Previews, mentioned on the Brian Bendis Message Board that the back cover artwork for the second issue will feature a painting of Destro. Also, David Michael Beck will appear with the paintings of Destro and Snake Eyes at the Image Comics booth at the
Wizard Convention in Chicago.

Devil's Due (the company creating the new G.I.Joe comic book to be published by Image Comics) has added some new G.I.Joe content to their web site. There's a commercial for the new comic book (done with Macromedia Flash) that shows the first glimpses of what the new G.I.Joe comic book will look like.
Devil's Due has also created a mailing list where they will email out updates and also have created a message board.

It's been rumored for months but it's finally official. Image Comics has released a press release announcing that they will be publishing a new G.I.Joe comic book to be released this September. The announcement reads:
