British Battle Action Force Comics
Before the European toy company Palitoy completely incorporated G.I.Joe figures, vehicles, and characters into their storylines, the Action Force line was its own, completely separate entity - with it's own heroes and villains.
Pictured above are two pages from the Battle Action Force comics that helped retell the Action Force adventures so that they more closely resembled the U.S. G.I.Joe adventures. This story explained how Baron Ironblood - previously a South American warlord - became renamed Cobra Commander. His army became known as Cobra. In addition, Red Jackal was renamed Destro. His previous origin (a former member of Action Force, who was badly hurt in a high speed car accident and had his body parts replaced by bionics) was changed to the U.S. origin.
More and more familiar G.I.Joe characters were introduced into Action Force - note Storm Shadow on the second page.
