Indian Superhero

The famous (or infamous) Superhero is an exclusive figure only released in India by the Funskool toy company.

The resemblance to a certain famous character from DC Comics is fairly blatant. Even the card logo has the word "Superhero" in Superman-like text. While the front of the card has no mention of G.I.Joe at all, the back of the card has the "G.I.Joe - International Heroes" logo, pictures of other figures available, and a promotional write-up about the introduction of G.I.Joe figures in India.

Unlike carded figures from other countries, Hasbro did not make the G.I.Joe figures released in India. Funskool made them and packaged them. The figures, the cardbacks, and the bubbles of figures released in India were of slightly lower quality than their American counterparts. For a visual example of this, examine the Indian Baroness.

However, there were many Indian figures that were variations on American figures and plenty of Indian exclusive figures.
