Europe - Action Force S.A.S. Hawk and BladesBox Close-Up Interior Close-Up Loose Close-Up In the early 1980s, the European toy company Palitoy released a line of 3 3/4" military toys called Action Force. While most of the line was entirely original and similar to Kenner's Star Wars toys in articulation, many early G.I.Joe figures and vehicles were recolored, renamed, and incorporated into the Action Force line. Action Force toys were sold in most parts of Western Europe - including the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, West Germany, Italy, and Greece. Pictured above is the boxed Action Force S.A.S. Hawk and Blades. Note that the packaging is in two languages - English and French. The actual toy itself is a recolored version of the American Cobra F.A.N.G., while the Blades figure was a recolored version of the American Tripwire. In the pictures above, note that the yellow rollcage is missing from the packaging and the loose helicopter. From the collection of: Peter Eikenboom |
