Belgium: Fan Club Briefs
Pictured above is a letter that was sent out from the G.I.Joe Fan Club in Belgium. You automatically became a member of the Belgian G.I.Joe club after your mail-in order. The Belgian G.I.Joe Fan Club (especially early on) was extremely well organized and had some very impressive promotionals that were sent to its members.

This letter was sent out in 1988. It featured a list of available mail-in offers. Hooded Cobra Commander was not named, but is described as "Incognito, Officer of the Secret Services." Also, "Operation Landscape" is mentioned - for 10 Star Points, you received a 70 cm long landscape and ten figure stands.

This letter was sent out in 1993. It's written in Dutch, but with some mistakes that are typical for French people writing Dutch. Several articles are marked "uitgeput" - "exhausted". The backside is a copy of several cut-and-paste photos of figures from older folders, like "Mission Atlantis".

This letter was sent in 1993. It's a form letter explaining that the club had grown too big (60,000 members) to continue to operate. Only mail-in offers and the vehicle-parts service continued to exist. A handwritten P.S. at the bottom of the letter addressed the question that prompted the original letter to Hasbro.
