Felix "Mercer" Stratton (v3) was released as part of the 2006 G.I.Joe Convention ("Heroes Unite" in New Orleans, LA) exclusive Sgt. Slaughter and his Renegades carded set from the Official G.I. Joe Collector's Club. The set included Mercer (v3), Red Dog (v2), and Taurus (v2).
Mercer features an anti-Cobra tattoo on his left arm.

FELIX "MERCER" STRATTON was the only COBRA VIPER that ever defected to the G.I. JOE team and survived. While some team members are still wary around him, even after voluntarily wearing an electronic monitoring armband, he has proven himself to SGT. SLAUGHTER on countless occasions -- which is no easy task. Although his knowledge of the inner workings of COBRA is valuable, his infiltration skills are his greatest asset. Once he even joined the mainstream G.I. JOE team as an official member by changing his name and appearance, but he soon grew tired of "playing by the rules" and returned to the life on the edge that being a Renegade guarantees.
MERCER's loyalty to the one man who gave him a second chance knows no bounds. Upon hearing of COBRA COMMANDER's challenge to eliminate the Sarge, the former VIPER immediately rounded up the other Renegades. The trio suited up in their new body armor system and headed to the top-secret training camp to protect their mentor.
"I used to be a big bad COBRA, now I'm just a mean snake-stomping machine!"

Body Construction
Felix "Mercer" Stratton (v3) features a retooled head sculpt based off of Mercer (1987). His arms are made from the sculpt of Gung Ho (v3) (1992), Gung Ho (v4) (1993), Gung Ho (v7) (2001), Gung Ho (v15) (2004), and Sgt. Slaughter (v5) (2006). His torso, waist and legs were used for Clutch (v3) (1993). His entire body sculpt aside from his head is shared with Red Dog (v2) (2006), and Taurus (v2) (2006).
Versions of Mercer
In 2011, Mercer was renamed "Mercenary." So while there are multiple names, they are all based on the character "Mercer." Note that Mercer (v2) has a different file name.
