In the United Kingdom on February 20th 1988 Action Force joined the weekly released Transformers title after its own solo title was canceled after fifty issues. see here. 143 issues contained an Action Force/GI Joe story. Starting in issue #153 Action Force had 6 pages at the back of the comic, these were all Marvel reprint stories. This generally meant that the Marvel stories were divided into 4 to 6 parts. The Action Force storyline starts with Marvel issue #48. Occasionally, a storyline or issue would be skipped and several Special Mission & Yearbook stories were also included.. 139 issues in total were printed that contained Action Force/GI Joe title on the cover. Issues #99-102 contained an Action Force story but not the "Action Force" title on the cover. In issue #249 the title was switched to GI Joe the Action Force. GI Joe/Action Force ended its run within Transformers in #305 in January of 1991, the Transformers comic itself would only continue for another 30 issues. Occasionally, Action Force would be supplemented by another title, The Visionaries, hence the breaks in sequence. #125 is a true cross over issue which the Action Force team plays a major role in discovering the old damaged Megatron hidden at the bottom of Thames river. GI Joe characters only appeared on the cover twice #125 & #153.
