G.I. Joe and the Transformers was a four issue mini-series published during a four month period in 1987. On
reflection, it was inevitable that Hasbro would have Marvel team their two best selling toy lines for some
adventures. As one might guess, the Autobots teamed up the G.I. Joe and the evil Decipticons teamed up with Cobra.

The plot revolves around a power station that has the potential to destroy the Earth and help the Decipticons rule
their home planet of Cybertron. The story line keeps in sync with both the Transformers and G.I. Joe comic which
provides some sudden strange shifts in the story.
In 1993, a trade paperback version of the limited series reprinted all four issues and included a new cover by Andrew Wildman.
