Chapter 2 : Red with Blood

Long Summary Scout joined the military to get away from the mundane life. He was assigned to a combat zone and earned his codename because he was always scouting for trouble. In the present fight in Iraq, he is fighting with the Action Force team. The Action Force team has just gotten the approval to enter Iran to chase down some Red Shadow soldiers. As the Action Force tanks move ahead, lead by the GI Joe's team Steeler. Scout is on top of a tank firing at the Red Shadow soldiers. He gets more ammo from Doc and Action Man joins him on top of the tank as more Red Shadow soldiers start surrounding the tanks. Steeler leads a tank around their flank, avoids a rocket launched at them and fires the tank's main gun blowing up a building that the Red Shadows were based out of. The remaining Red Shadows charge at the Action Force team in a suicide run screaming "Blood, blood, blood". Jammer, Scout, Doc and Action Man gun down the suicide charge. As one of the Red Shadow leader crosses a bridge with a couple of the other soldiers, he tells the other that they have completed their mission because the building Steeler destroyed covered the entrance to a tunnel that they were charged with protecting. Somewhere deep in Kuwait, Black Major (actually Wilder Vaughn) is talking to Red Scream, who is undercover in the US military as Commander Roston. He congratulates her about getting Project: Doppelganger up running (see GI Joe Extreme #2) . But the most important fact that Red Scream has discovered is a prison called the Coffin in which Dela Eden and Artur Kulik are being housed (see America's Elite #26). Red Scream accepts the praise but reminds him that much of the information came from the Juggler Mars Herring. Red Scream then makes a comment about Generals giving out information in bed. Black Major responses with "Curious and does the married General Fla. . . " before he is interrupted with a message from Red Vulture. The message is that Location: Perfidy is about to be compromised. Black Major jumps into action, he begins to gather some forces to go support Red Vulture. Summary by Josh Eggebeen.
