Action Force Red Dawn

Action Force Red Dawn is a maxi series published by Rising Sun Comics for 10 issues between 2008 and 2010. The format of the comic is a standard sized US comic, in full color on standard comic paper.

Action Force Red Dawn is set in the original GI Joe continuity that was begun by Marvel in 1982 and ended with Devil's Due in 2008. It is set directly during the Devil's Due GI Joe America's Elite comic series.

Action Force Red Dawn brings back the original Action Force Characters (from the Battle Action Force comics, see here) to comics for the first time in over 20 years (other than the one page cameo in America's Elite #31)

Each issue gives us a flashback on a different character, revealing something about their past or origin. This helps new fans get acquainted with the characters as well as revealing something new about each one that old fans didn't know.

Additionally, this series answers many questions that were brought up during the Devil's Due run but were never answered. For example, what was Flint up to between the time of when he left the GI Joe team, why he left and how got to Vietnam to track down Wilder Vaughn. What was the connection between the original Red Shadow characters and the new ones we saw in the Devil's Due series. What happened to Baron Ironblood? All these and more are answered in these 10 issues.

It also subtly connects the GI Joe Extreme series to this continuity as well with the characters of Commander Roston and Red Scream.

This series, fan created, was never released in comic book stores and only available through the internet. They are available for only a shipping and handling fee and sold privately.
