| Long Summary
The Joe team of Clutch, Roadblock, Mayday, Snake-Eyes, Mirage, and new recruit Thomas Stall are in street fight New Moon, Colorado. Major Bludd and Scrap-Iron are leading an attack on the team, who are circling in an armored van driven by Clutch looking for the separated Snake-Eyes. Stall, who earlier in the battle, let his teammates down, and got another recruit killed, is having severe issues handling the battle. At one point he is thrown from the van and shot by a sniper. Mirage, his team leader, saves him and gets him back into the van. Snake-Eyes is in a one on one battle with Wraith, who’s supped up suit gives him extra power and armament. Wraith talks lots of smack to Snake-Eyes as they fight pretty evenly.
In the back of the van, Mirage is berating Stall for his whining, and ineffectual fighting ability. Mirage needs him to be tougher, and Stall makes a threatening move with his gun, and disrespectful comment. Mayday saves the day by taking out a helicopter. Wraith has won the fight. And just as he is about finish off Snake-Eyes, Roadblock hits Wraith over the head several times with his .50 caliber machine gun. Wraith takes advantage of the fact Roadblock thinks he has put him down for the count, his suits armor saved him from major damage, and escapes using his invisibility. The team collects Snake-Eyes, and jumps into a rescue helicopter driven by Wild Bill.
Just as the Joes are escaping Major Bludd detonates the entire town of New Moon.
Kamakura has been sent by Duke to watch over Hawk, who is now paralyzed from the waist down. Hawk gets mad and screams about how much he has dedicated his life to the Joes and wants to be left alone. Kamakura informs Hawk that the Jugglers are putting him up for review and the entire Joe organization is on the line. Kamakura’s job is now to wait by Hawk’s side until he decides what to do.
Duke, Flint, Claymore, and Joseph "Joe" Colton are assessing the damage of the New Moon operation. After Cobra blew up the town, they videoed the entire event, and using creative editing make the Joes look like bad guys. None of them really know what to do, and all are hoping that Hawk will come in to give them the advice and direction they need.
The New Moon Joe team and Mirage are on their way back to the Pit. Stall, who doesn’t have clearance, is staying behind at a base in Fort Riley, Kansas. Mirage confronts Stall about his performance in the field by give him this critique "that you’re a childish inattentive mess of soldier, an arrogant blemish on a family of career military men and the last person in the world I’d trust my life to".
Finally, Destro is meeting with his son, Alexander, as Scalpel enters with news on his wife the Baroness. Destro dismisses Alexander. Scalpel informs Destro that he has confined the Baroness to a med lab for protection and that she is pregnant with his child. Alexander hears this information from outside the door.
