Thursday -- The Pit
Hawk is screaming at Scarlett. He has set up a form of court martial. Since none of the Joe team are official members of the US military, it isn't an official court martial. But what Hawk is doing is having the proceedings broadcast throughout The Pit's close circuit television system. Every Joe in the base is watching. Hawk wants to know why Scarlett has been having secret unauthorized communications with renegade Joe agent Snake Eyes. In the mess hall, Torpedo, Beach Head, Duke, Rock 'n' Roll and Dial Tone are watching Scarlett. Dial Tone makes a comment about how Scarlett broke the rules regarding communications with outside units from The Pit. Duke gets really mad, insults her and storms out. Beach Head then say "I think you need a history lesson."
Friday -- Nevada Desert above The Pit Ace is flying a helicopter that is about to land on The Pit's above ground platform elevator. He is delivering a new Joe to the base. The new Joe is an armor specialists and her code name is Cover Girl.
Hawk continues the interrogation. Now he is asking her questions about the name cobra. He makes a comment that Mainframe and Snake Eyes are the two Joes that have run off chasing phantoms. And he believes this cobra is just a mission name for an operation. Scarlett reminds him that the robots that attacked The Pit, the military arms that were on two different ships all have ties to MARS and Cobra.
Hawk then changes the subject to Snake Eyes. He wants to know how long she has been having the secret communications with him. Her answer is six months. He has been providing intel to her and she has been giving him leads. And the last communication, which came from the computer of Nico Mandirobilis (See GI Joe #6), was interrupted and she hasn't heard from him since.
In a flashback, Snake Eyes is escaping from a sinking ship with a computer laptop with its hard drive intact.
Scarlett continues to argue that Cobra has to be for real and is a mounting treat. She is unsure if Cobra is an organization, a person or the name of an operation but she does know that something large is out their controlling events and the hard drive that Snake Eyes has contains some key information that is needed to start solving this mystery. Hawk agrees to wait for the information.
Saturday -- The Pit Shipwreck is in the brand new underwater vehicle Remora. Deep Six and Torpedo are there to help monitor this test dive from the surface. Shipwreck takes her under the water in the cave section of The Pit. Immediately the Remora begins to flip over as its port tanks refuse to open and it sinks like rock straight to the bottom. As it hits the ground it flips again, this time trapping Shipwreck inside as his cockpit begins to fill with water. Torpedo dives into rescue him. He has to manually release the starboard ballast which should right the ship. Shipwreck's cockpit is now full filled with water and he has 3 minutes of breath held in his lungs. Torpedo is about to try and break open the canopy when a female form dives into the water swims down to the hatch, reaches in the small crack to pull the release which rights the ship and brings it to the surface.
As they recover, they wonder who just saved Shipwreck. A blond female steps up in her swimsuit and introduces herself as Cover Girl. As Shipwreck coughs out some water he says "Your codename suits you" and her response is "So does yours, Shipwreck"
Sunday -- The Pit Scarlett is awoken in her room by Duke. He really wants her to save herself, give up the information on Snake Eyes. But she refuses. Duke storms out saying "You know how I feel about you". And in total frustration Scarlett says to herself, "Yeah, I know but I wish I didn't."
Monday -- In Kowloon, Hong Kong, China. Snake Eyes is in a dark room without his mask. He is looking at his blackberry type device with a message on it from Scarlett.
Didn't have time to download. Download incomplete. Need hard drive ASAP Will deliver? Love Red.
Really mad Snake Eyes throws the device out of the window where it is destroyed.
Back in The Pit, Scarlett is surrounded by Hawk, Duke & Dial Tone as she hits send on the message Snake Eyes received. Dial Tone is unable to track his location before the signal goes dead. She does report that in the few files that they were able to download, there is mentions of both Cobra and MARS, but nothing to prove Scarlett's theory. She can only wait for Snake Eyes to save her from a court martial.
In the Fobbit Hole (a computer lab), Brainstorm and several technicians are analyzing the remains of one of the robots that recently just attacked The Pit. As he investigates he discovers a manufacturer's die mark, it is the clue he needs to determine who made the robot. All of sudden a timer starts ticking down giving them only 20 seconds to clear before it blows up.
Tuesday -- Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong, China Freight is being loaded onto a mail cargo plane as Snake Eyes sneaks in with it. Once inside the door closes and the plane takes off.
Wednesday -- Seattle A man with a goatee carrying his groceries walks up the stairs to his apartment, outside the door is a surveillance camera which is watching . He enters after unlocking several locks. Walks past a wall of newspaper clippings with one prominent heading "Researchers Still Missing After Three Years". He continues to his living room, opens a can of soda and senses someone in the room. He throws the can at a man as he pulls his gun. Snake Eyes just catches the can and sits there. Behind him on the multiple computer screens is the word "Mainframe".
