Hasbro 25th Anniversary 2 Figure Comic Packs Starting in 2008 for the 25th Anniversary line, Hasbro released 2 figure comic packs. They included newly painted covers, in homage to the original artwork by Greg Horn. Later releases included original stories taking place within the timeframe of previously published issues written by Larry Hama. Several issues were label 1/2 issues because they took place directly between some of the Marvel GI Joe A Real American Hero issues that Larry Hama wrote in the 1980's. Other issues reference time or places that connect them to the Real American Hero continuity. Issues #8 & Resolute #1 & #2 are considered to be part of the cartoon universe. These comics were originally developed for the unreleased second wave of comic packs in 2009. Both retail outlets gave the comic away free with a purchase of G.I.
