|Beginning in 2008, FP (Fun Publishing) Comics began producing full-size comics. These comics are created by the organizers of the GI Joe Collector's Club Convention (Joe Con). They have created two series of comics.
One series, the Convention/Retail Series, were released at the yearly G.I. Joe Collector's Club Convention and is connected to a specific set of exclusive figures. The comic tells the story about that specific year's individual special convention only figures. The comic comes with figures but is also available for individual purchase. The comic released at the convention also works as the official program of the convention. Generally about six months later a retail version is released to comic book stores. For this version there is a cover difference and the program part of the comic has been replaced with character profiles and advertisements. The interior comic story is the same.
The second series was released to comic book stores in 2009. This series of comics were not specifically connected to a figure set nor to the convention. They are just regular comics.
All of FP comics are part of the "Disavowed" continuity and officially licensed by Hasbro.
