G.I.Joe Trading Cards - Impel (1991)
Put out by Impel Marketing in 1991, this series of trading cards is probably one of the highest quality, most impressive G.I.Joe items ever released. The cards pictured characters, vehicles, comic book covers, deceased characters, and special teams. Except for the reprinted comic book covers, all the artwork and copy written for the cards were original and never seen before. The art and copy on the cards were consistent with the storylines of the Marvel Comics - but also included characters and situations that never were shown in the comic books (such as the fate of the Cobra-La and Crystal Ball).
The cards above show Snake Eyes, Tomahawk, Serpentor, Special Missions #1.
