Pictured above is a mock-up prototype of the Stars and Stripes Forever Sgt. Zap (1997). Eventually, the mold used was changed and a similar color pattern was instead applied to Grunt (1997). Also note that while the left leg features explosives as with Grunt (1997), these would have been characteristic of Zap and the backpack and chest mold support the possibility that this figure was intended as such.
