Description:

Pictured above is a prototype version of Ryu (1993) as the figure appeared in the 1994 yearly insert catalog. Instead of having a new head sculpt, the figure instead uses the head of Quick Kick (1985) and the body of Slice (1992).

After molds were created and/or assembled, they would be used to press out a run of "First shots" or "Test shots". These test shots were done in many different colors and lacked a date stamp until the production run began. Pictured above is a Ryu test shot (with his own head sculpt) that is unpainted.
