Pictured above is a prototype version of B.A.T. (1991) as the figure appeared in the 1991 yearly insert catalog.

Differences include a larger missile, green feet, no green on the head or forearms, a different paintline on the upper left leg, and a placeholder chest decal.

It should be noted that while at first it appears that his hand attachment was equipped with a handle, a closer inspection reveals that it is held in place with glue. It is unknown if a hand grip was ever considered.
