Description:
Pictured above is a placeholder prototype version of Long
Range (1989) as the figure appeared in a 1989 television commercial.
It was a common practice for Hasbro to create custom figures to use
in promotional advertising before the final product was available to
them. These figures were not intended to be the final version, but instead
were just meant to be used to get advertising created as soon as possible.
The above version of Long Range uses the head of Voltar
(1988), the torso of Skidmark
(1988) and the arms of Shockwave
(1988).
