Pictured above is a prototype Astro Viper (1988) as the figure appeared a 1988 Hasbro product catalog. Notable differences include the lack of a Cobra logo, the missing silver detail on the torso, and the fact that part of the knee has been painted silver along with the mechanism on the side of the leg. Note that the pegs holding the two weapons in place have both broken.
