Description:

Pictured above is a preproduction version of Night Force Tracker as the figure appeared at multiple conventions. Before production began, the decision was made to use the mold to instead create Action Man (2004). Not only is the paint scheme entirely different, but the arms are from Muskrat (1988) rather than the ones that were produced.

Pictured above are two preproduction figures that show the transition of Tracker into Action Man. The produced Action Man figure is on the left while a Night Force Tracker figure is on the right.

While several Night Force Tracker test shots have become available to collectors, it is likely that these were produced in quantity by the workers at the factory where G.I. Joe figures are produced, rather than actually being created at Hasbro's request. It should be noted that these Tracker figures included a Night Force logo along with the G.I.Joe logo.
