G.I.Joe Electric Train and Battle Set (Canadian)

Pictured above is the box for the Tyco G.I.Joe Electric Train and Battle Set. Released in 1984, this set is one of the more famous non-Hasbro G.I.Joe items due to its unusual nature and its size.

The set included not only a working electric train with cars, but small unposable G.I.Joe and Cobra soldiers and vehicles. They were not to scale with Hasbro's 3 3/4" figures.

The train set was available from many retailers, including the Best Catalog. The box pictured above was sold in Canada and is subsequently in French and English.
