Triple T Color Explanation

Beginning in 1991, Hasbro Direct offered a differently colored version of the G.I.Joe Triple-T Tank via mail-order. The tank, usually found white with blank and green highlights, was recolored white with bright orange highlights.

Pictured above is the explanation that came with the toy. It reads:

Triple "T" Color Explanation

Attention all G.I.Joe Allies:

Due to a recent surprise Cobra chemical attack on our Triple "T" motor pool, the alloy color of the vehicle's exterior body and wapons' sectors has been changed to high visibily hues of orange and white. There is no need to be alarmed.

After an extensive series of simulated combat tests, we found that the color alteration has had no effect on the Triple "T's" battlefield performance. You are hereby advised to utilize the Triple "T's" new combat scheme for attacks during the brightest time of the day! Good luck!

Yo Joe!

Major General Hawk

The paper is dated 1991.
