Combat Pay Game

Through G.I.Joe's history, there were many promotions, sweepstakes, and contests. In 1990, specially marked G.I.Joe packages came with "G.I.Joe Combat Pay". Larger denominations could be redeemed for prizes from the G.I.Joe Get Tough Catalog.

Pictured above is one of the smallest denomination - 50 cents. Instead of being tied into the Combat Pay catalog, it was simply a manufacturer's coupon for 50 cents of G.I.Joe merchandise.

The second half of the Combat Pay was an instant win game. The lower portion could be scratched off for an instant prize.
