Young Adult Book: Invisibility Island

In addition to the "Find Your Fate" line of G.I.Joe books, Ballantine Books published a series of G.I.Joe Young Adult/Fiction books.

Pictured above is number 4 in the series - Invisibility Island by Lynn Beach. The book is 120 pages in length, it was published in May of 1988, and the ISBN # is 0-345-34630-0.

The back of the book reads: "Guard duty?" complains Gung-Ho. "I signed up with G.I.Joe to be a fighter, not a baby-sitter."

But Gung-Ho's beef about protecting a scientist in charge of a top secret project is cut short by the blare of a frantic red alert. COBRA agent Zanzibar and his Dreadnok troops have infiltrated the high security think tand and have kidnapped Dr. Ehks. Now COBRA possesses the ultimate military advantage - Dr. Ehks's invention, and invisibility machine.

And Gung-Ho will get his wish, along with G.I.Joe Team leader Hawk, the massive Roadblock, sneaky Sneak Peek, resourceful Tunnel Rat, quick-witted Lifeline, crafty Psyche-0ut, and the dynamite team of Law and Order. COBRA has launched a 24-hour bid for world domination and the G.I.Joe Team si the only hope to repel the onslaught. But they're up agains Zanzibar, invisible Crimson Guard, fighter jets, gunships, choppers - even invisible ammo! How do you fight an invisibile foe? Can the Joes find the answer in time?
