G.I. Joe: Ice Force

Pictured above is the G.I. Joe: Ice Force book that was released from Scholastic Inc. in January 2003. The book starred Duke, Frostbite and Gung-HO facing off against Cobra Commander, Destro and Neo-Vipers. The book also came with a sheet of tattoos inside the back cover.

Summary: The G.I.Joe team patrol some icy mountain in Alaska. They recieve a report that a town was flooded and there help was needed. They went and rescued some people who were flaoting in the water, a scientist was among them. he warned the team that the region was experiencing some strange weather and the Joes said they would check it out. They went to Desolation Peak to begin their investigation. They located a tall tower on the peak saw it had a powerful laser that was melting the ice around it. Cobra was behind this. Frostbite distracted the Neo-Vipers while Duke and Gung-Ho went inside the tower. They discovered lots of gold that Cobra had been collecting. The Joes fought their way out of a Neo-Viper army, but were being watched by Cobra. Cobra Commander sealed them in the tower and set the self-distruct to blow in 10 minutes. Frostbite came and smashed through the doors freeing the other Joes. They ran from the tower, but could find no escape. Frostbite returne dto the tower and used the laser in reverse and used it to create a bridge of ice over the canyon. The Joe team barely made it across the bridge when the tower exploded. They returned to base and the weather returned to normal. For now...

Ice Force was written by Holly Kowitt, Illustrated by Jesus Redondo (pencil & ink) and Mark Mones (colorist).
