Find Your Fate - Operation: Poison Dart
Ballantine Books published a series of Young Adult books under the "Find
Your Fate" logo. The gimmick - by making decisions at certain points of
the book, you changed the outcome of the story and you went to a certain
page instead of another.
Pictured above is number 16 in the series - Operation: Poison
Dart by Megan Stine and H. William Stine. The book is 88 pages in
length, its ISBN # is 0-345-34064-7, and it was first published in April of
1987.
The back of the book reads: A globe of mindless COBRA slaves? Only
the GI Joe Team can thwart such a threat in OPERATION: POISON DART.
Your code name: Headset. Your specialty: unusual. As deprogrammer and
hypnotist, you free the minds of brainwashed victims - or smooth-talk your
way past COBRA guards.
Now you face your toughest mission. Dr. Mindbender has brainwashed a
top-notch scientist into developing a mind control drug for COBRA. An
important U.S. general is under the spell. Will the general turn U.S.
weapons against the world, or will COBRA dominate the wills of billions of
people?
Roadblock, Flint, Dial-Tone, Dusty, Mutt, Mainframe, Lady Jaye, and
Leatherneck are all there to help you. But it's up to you, Headset, and
your powers of persuasion. Can you outdo your arch-counterpart Dr.
Mindbender? It's a test of wills with the world as the prize, as you FIND
YOUR FATE.
The cover was painted by Hector Garrido.
