Pictured above is the original concept art for the back cover of Image Comics G.I. Joe #4. It should also be noted that the concept art is different from the final version that actually appeared on the back cover. Concept art is normally one of the first phases in creating high end artwork and normally resembles but isn't exactly the same as the final art. Its primary purpose is to simply give the client an idea of what the artist is thinking prior to creating the final product. This art was the work of David Michael Beck.
