DIC Animation Cel - Destro, Metal Head, Cobra Commander

Over 100 episodes of the G.I.Joe cartoon were made by Sunbow/Marvel Animation and DIC Animation between 1984 and 1991 - and cels from the cartoon are excellent one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

The above cel is from a DIC episode (1991) - it is a two layer cel, the foreground is of Destro and Cobra Commander and the second layer is of Metalhead. There is no background.

Cels from the Sunbow cartoons are harder to find, much more in demand, and therefore more expensive. Even though the DIC cartoons were cheaper in quality in nearly every way, the artwork was still excellent and their cels make excellent display pieces.
