Straight-Arm Stinger Driver
The above image is from the 1986 Sears Christmas Catalog. It depicts the Dreadnok Thunder Machine, and two figures riding on it. The one on the left is a Cobra Officer, straight-arm - though his skin is bright yellow.
The one on the right, improbable as it may be, is a straight-arm Cobra Stinger Driver.
In 1982 when G.I.Joe toys first began to appear in Sears catalogs, Sears photographed early release figures given to them by Hasbro. These early figures were re-used for all of their catalogs. What is pictured above is either a prototype for a straight-arm Stinger Driver or Cobra Officer repainted in gray.
Both ways, it's pretty cool.
