Soundwave

Communications and Morale Officer

Soundwave

Description:

Soundwave, also known as Shattered Glass Soundwave, was available in the Invasion box set from Botcon 2012 (Dallas, TX). A retool of the 2008 Universe Ratchet figure, Soundwave featured a double-ended weapon that could attach to either wrist at both ends.  One side featured a blade at the tip, while the other ended in a cannon.  Soundwave's trademark headband and a character card could be purchased separately for an additional 5 dollars.

Of note to G.I. Joe collectors is the tampographs on either side of Soundwave's vehicle mode:  logos for the fictional band Cold Slither are on the driver and passenger doors.  Cold Slither itself is a band from the eponymous Sunbow G.I. Joe episode, composed of the DreadnoksZartan's face is plainly visible in the band's logo.

In addition, registrants who purchased a convention set during the first day of registration received a free Cold Slither pin.
