Variations
There are two variants of Metal-Head's packaging and filecard. The earlier first variant featured the G.I.Joe logo horizontally at the top of the card. The filecard on the back of the packaging was the "standard" size. The later second variant featured the G.I.Joe logo vertically on the left side of the card and the filecard was reduced down to "baseball card" size.
In addition, the standard size filecard had a variation of its own - some cards had additional manufacturing text along the bottom right, while others did not.
Body Construction
Metal-Head's waist and legs were originally used to create Rock-Viper (1990). His head, chest, and arms were original and were not used to create other figures.
