Desimone Guide: #518

Carded Figure

Metal-Head's Filecard

Figure Description:

Metal-Head was released carded in the thirteenth series (1994) as part of the Battle Corps subset. The Battle Corps figures were numbered 1 through 13 - Metal-Head was number 4.

Metal-Head was discontinued in 1994.

Versions of Metal-Head:

Accessories:

Metal-Head came with three purple weapons, a red missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two purple missiles, and a purple figure stand.

Except for the missile launcher, all of Metal-Head's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

There are two variants of Metal-Head's packaging and filecard. The earlier first variant featured the G.I.Joe logo horizontally at the top of the card. The filecard on the back of the packaging was the "standard" size. The later second variant featured the G.I.Joe logo vertically on the left side of the card and the filecard was reduced down to "baseball card" size.

Body Construction:

Metal-Head's waist and legs were originally used to create Rock-Viper (1990). His head, chest, and arms were original and were not used to create other figures.
