Major Bludd was released carded in the thirteenth series (1994) as part of the Battle Corps subset. The Battle Corps figures were numbered 1 through 13 - Major Bludd was number 11.
Major Bludd was discontinued in 1994.
Accessories
Major Bludd came with two red rifles, a red knife, a black missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two red missiles, and a red figure stand.
Except for the missile launcher, all of Major Bludd's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations
There are two variants of Major Bludd's packaging and filecard. The earlier first variant featured the G.I.Joe logo horizontally at the top of the card. The filecard on the back of the packaging was the "standard" size. The later second variant featured the G.I.Joe logo vertically on the left side of the card and the filecard was reduced down to "baseball card" size.
Body Construction
Major Bludd's legs and waist were originally used to create Toxo-Viper (v2) (1991). Major Bludd's head, chest, and arms were original. Major Bludd's head was used to in creating Major Bludd (v5) (2003).
