Alley Viper's Filecard

Figure Description:

Alley Viper was released carded in the thirteenth series (1994) as part of the Battle Corps subset. The Battle Corps figures were numbered 1 through 14 - Alley Viper was number 7.

Alley Viper was discontinued in 1994.

Accessories:

Alley Viper came with an orange face mask, two orange guns, an orange shield, a blue missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two orange missiles, and an orange figure stand.

Except for the face mask and missile launcher, all of Alley Viper's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

There were two variants of the Alley Viper action figure. The first variant has orange stripes on the figure's legs. The second variant does not. The variant with stripes is pictured above.

There are also two variants of the packaging. The earlier first variant featured the G.I.Joe logo horizontally at the top of the card. The filecard on the back of the packaging was the "standard" size. The later second variant featured the G.I.Joe logo vertically on the left side of the card and the filecard was reduced down to "baseball card" size.

Body Construction:

Alley Viper was created using the same mold used to create Alley Viper (v2) (1993). The head, chest, and waist were later used to create Alley Viper (v4) (1997), Alley Viper (v5) (2002), Alley Viper (v6) (2002), Alley Viper (v7) (2003), and Alley Viper (v9) (2004).
