Cobra Ninja Swordsman

Code Name:

Slice

version two

Desimone Guide: #425

Carded Figure

Slice's Filecard

Figure Description:

Slice (version 2) was released carded as part of the twelfth series (1993) as part of the Ninja Force subset. The 1993 Ninja Force figures were numbered 1 through 7 - Slice was number 7.

Slice was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Versions of Slice:

Accessories:

Slice came with a black bisento spear, a black wide butterfly-battle knife, a black axe, 2 black double sided knives, a black hooked sword, and a black figure stand.

All of Slice's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

Earlier versions of Slice's packaging did not have the small parts warning printed on the card. A clear sticker with white text was placed above the figure's name. Later card printings have the text next to the figure in black text on a gray background

Carded figure w/ text on sticker.

Body Construction:

Slice's entire mold was used in 1992 to create the original Slice. It was also used in 1994 to create Shadow Ninjas Slice (v3) and in 2002 to create Slice (v4).

Like all the Ninja Force figures, Slice's body was designed with a "real ninja move". Slice's spring-loaded right arm could be pushed back, then released, causing it to spring forward in a punching motion.

Note that Slice has two cloth ribbons attached to his right hip.
