Guile was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Guile was number 3.

He was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Accessories

Guile came with two black guns, an orange missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), a black shield (attached to the missile launcher), two black missiles, a black knife, a bright yellow grappling hook, black string, and a black figure stand.



The grappling hook can be pulled apart into two component pieces.



Except for the grappling hook, string, and missile launcher, all of Guile's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.

No variations of Guile (v1) are known to exist.

Body Construction

While Guile's head was new, the chest mold was from Road Pig (1988), the arms were from Dusty & Sandstorm (1991), and the waist and legs were from Roadblock (v2) (1986).

The entire Guile mold was also used to create Guile (v2) (1993).

Versions of Guile

Several Street Fighter Movie versions of Guile were released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.
