Monster Blaster A.P.C. Driver

Code Name:

Clutch

version three

Desimone Guide: #454

Carded Figure

Clutch's Filecard

Figure Description:

Clutch (version 3) was released carded as part of the twelfth series (1993) as part of the Mega Marines subset.

He was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Versions of Clutch:

In 2003, Clutch was renamed "Double Clutch". So while there are several names, there are a total of six figures based on the character "Clutch".

Accessories:

Clutch came with three black rifles, a black machete, a yellow missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two black missiles, a black figure stand, yellow armor, and a cannister of "moldable bio-armor".

The "moldable bio-armor" was Play-Doh that could be molded onto the figure using the armor piece.

Except for the missile launcher, armor, and cannister of Play-Doh, all of Clutch's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

Some Clutch figures had upper arms that were yellow with orange paint while others had upper arms that were orange with yellow paint.

Body Construction:

Clutch's body is entirely original - no parts were taken from other figures and no parts were ever re-used.
