Figure Description:

Balrog was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Balrog was number 11.

He was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Versions of Balrog:

This was the only version of Balrog ever released.

A Street Fighter Movie version of Balrog was released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.

Accessories:

Balrog came with two red boxing gloves, two black rifles, a black knife, an orange missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two black missiles, a black grappling hook, a black string, and a black figure stand.

The grappling hook can be pulled apart into two component pieces.

Except for the boxing gloves, grappling hook, black string, and missile launcher, all of Balrog's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

There are no known variations of Balrog.

Body Construction:

While Balrog had a brand new head, the arms, chest, waist, and legs were originally used to create Big Boa (1987).
