Variations
Many Ninja Vipers came with dark gray swords (pictured below), instead of the light gray swords. In addition, some Ninja Vipers came with no swords at all.
As for the figure itself, the Cobra logo on its chest has been seen in very dark red, bright red, and light red. Neither version is more difficult to find than another.
Body Construction
Ninja Viper's body was originally used for the original Storm Shadow (1984) and later used to make Storm Shadow (v5) (1997), Red Ninja Viper (2004), and Black Dragon Ninja (2004).
