Overkill was released carded as part of the tenth series (1991) as part of the Talking Battle Commanders. He was discontinued domestically in 1992.

Overkill came with a red right hand, a red claw attachment, a hand-held red rifle/cannon, and a black figure stand.
The red backpack was permanently attached to the back of the figure and could not be removed (except with a screwdriver, see BODY CONSTRUCTION below). The backpack had 3 buttons that would play battle commands : BATS attack!, Wipe Out!, and Destroy!. The fourth button played an electronic combat sound. The backpack ran on three A-76 button size batteries - included with the figure.

No variations of Overkill (v1) are known to exist.
Body Construction
Overkill's body is entirely original - no parts were taken from other figures. The entire mold was used to create Over Kill (v4) (2003).
Overkill's chest piece opens up to reveal a small red weapon.
Note that Overkill's right arm lacks a right hand. The right hand is an accessory that can be removed and replaced with the gun attachment.
Also note that the backpack is not easily removable. To remove the backpack, the backpack needs to be opened by unscrewing the four visible screws. Once the backpack is opened, inside are four long screws that attach the backpack to the figure.
