It was common practice for Hasbro to name and/or sculpt G.I.Joe characters after real-life individuals. For Rapid Fire, the character is named "Robbie London" - after an executive at DIC Animation. Fitting, since Rapid Fire included a free video tape with a DIC G.I.Joe episode.
Rapid Fire came with a bright green helmet and a bright green submachine gun.
Rapid Fire also came with a free video tape with the DIC G.I.Joe cartoon, Revenge of the Pharaohs.
