Variations
At some point during 1989 or 1990, Hasbro made a switch in the plastic used in the accessories. Two versions of T.A.R.G.A.T.'s gold handgun have been found - one made of soft bendable plastic (pictured below LEFT) and the other made of hard rigid plastic (pictured below RIGHT).
Body Construction
T.A.R.G.A.T.'s body is completely original - all new body parts.
T.A.R.G.A.T.'s entire body was later re-used to create T.A.R.G.A.T. (v2). The chest, arms, waist, and legs were later recolored and used in 1993 to create the Name Your Own Cobra figure.
International Variants
In Canada, T.A.R.G.A.T. was released in dual-language packaging.
In India, T.A.R.G.A.T.'s arms were used in a release of Ozone. Additionally, his upper arms were used in a variant of Ozone.
