Psyche-Out (v1) was first released carded as part of the sixth series (1987). He was also sold in 1988 and was discontinued domestically in 1989.
Psyche-Out came with a black handgun, a silver antenna that attached to the back of his head, a silver backpack, a silver handheld box with a red radar dish, and two silver wristpieces that also head red radar dishes.
The red radar dish pieces can be easily removed from the silver handheld box and the silver wrist pieces.

Psyche-Out got his degree in psychology from Berkeley and worked on various research projects involving the inducement of paranoia by means of low frequency radio waves. Upon his enlistment he was posted to the Deceptive Warfare Center at Fort Bragg where he continued his pioneering work in the field of wave induced behavior modification.
"The point at which you win a battle is when you've convinced the enemy that he has lost. This can be accomplished through something as simple as constant repetition. For example, you can see a commercial on TV ten times a day for a particular brand of cookies. One day at the supermarket, you're overcome by a sudden craving for cookies. Confronted by an array of unknown brands, you choose the one that you saw advertised. They've won...And you've lost."
No variations of Psyche-Out (v1) are known to exist.
Psyche-Out's body is completely original - all new body parts.
His entire mold was re-painted and re-used to create the 1988 Night Force Psyche-Out (v2).
Note that the back of the head has a hole in it where the antenna fits.
In the United Kingdom and Europe, Psyche-Out was recolored and released as Tiger Force Psyche-Out.
