Figure Description:

Backstop was released as part of the sixth series (1987), packaged exclusively with the Persuader high-speed tank. He was also sold in 1988, then was discontinued domestically in 1989.

Webmaster's Note:

If you consider just the American filecards as official G.I.Joe canon, Backstop is the only Canadian member of G.I.Joe.

Versions of Backstop:

This was the only version of Backstop ever made.

Accessories:

Backstop came with a gray helmet and a silver pistol.

No variations of Backstop are known to exist.

Body Construction:

Backstop's body mold is entirely original and not made up from previous molds.

The chest, arms, waist, and legs of Backstop were later re-colored and re-used to create Static Line.
