Figure Description:
Tomax was released in the fourth series (1985) packaged in a two-pack with Xamot. The pack was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.
For a short time in 1990, Tomax and Xamot were available as a set via mail-order from Hasbro Direct.
Note that Tomax has the silver shoulder guard on his right, as opposed to Xamot who has his on his left.
|
Versions of Tomax:
In 2009, Tomax was renamed "Crimson Twin". So while there are multiple names, they are all based on the same character.
|
Accessories:

Tomax came with a black laser pistol. He also shared the gray skyhook and string with Xamot.

Variations:
No variations of Tomax are known to exist.
|
Body Construction:
Tomax's body is completely original - all new body parts. The entire mold was re-used in 2002 to create Tomax (v2).
Starting with this series (Series Four, 1985), the head joint on G.I.Joe figures was changed into a head "ball". This ball allowed the head to look up and down, in addition to left and right.
