Figure Description:

Shipwreck was first released as part of the fourth series (1985). He was also available in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.

Accessories:

Shipwreck came with a silver pistol, a silver hook that was attached by a black string to a handle, and a green and yellow parrot "Polly".

Variations:

No variations of Shipwreck are known to exist.

Body Construction:

Shipwreck's body is completely original - all new body parts. None of his parts were ever re-used to build other action figures.

Starting with this series (Series Four, 1985), the head joint on G.I.Joe figures was changed into a head "ball". This ball allowed the head to look up and down, in addition to left and right.

International Variants:

In Brazil, Shipwreck was recolored in Tiger Force colors and released as Tigre Guarda-Costeira - Marujo.

In India in 1993, Shipwreck was released with slight paint differences and with differently colored accessories.
