In late 1985, Hasbro changed the missile launcher packaged with Bazooka to the one pictured below. All versions of Bazooka released from then on in the United States, internationally, and via mail-order from Hasbro Direct came with this new missile launcher.
Body Construction
Bazooka's body is completely original - all new body parts.
Bazooka's entire body and mold were re-used for the 1988 "Tiger Force" Bazooka.
Bazooka's waist and legs were later recolored and re-used to create Rumbler (1987).
Starting with this series (Series Four, 1985), the head joint on G.I.Joe figures was changed into a head "ball". This ball allowed the head to look up and down, in addition to left and right.
Versions of Bazooka
In 2004, Bazooka was renamed "Sgt. Bazooka." So while there are several names, they are all based on the character "Bazooka."
