Secondary Specialty: Tank Driver

Bazooka was driving an Abrams tank in the "Third Horde" (Third Armored Div.) when he came to the realization that an illiterate farmer armed with a $200 disposable rocket launcher could knock out a million dollar tank with less than two weeks training. He put in for a transfer immediately.

Training: Advanced Infantry School. Fort Benning: Armor School, Fort Knox. Qualified expert: Dragon Anti-Tank Missle, Milan System, LAW rocket, Recoilless rifle, LAW System and all Warsaw Pact RPG systems. Subject is also EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) qualified up to the tac-op category.

Subject is a decisive fast-thinker with all the instincts of a natural survivor.

Initial case assortments in 1985 came with the LAW pictured below. All later versions of Bazooka released in the United States, internationally, and via mail-order from Hasbro Direct came with the missile launcher shown in the Accessories section.

Body Construction

Bazooka's body is completely original - all new body parts.

Bazooka's entire body and mold were re-used for the 1988 "Tiger Force" Bazooka.

Bazooka's waist and legs were later recolored and re-used to create Rumbler (1987).

Starting with this series (Series Four, 1985), the head joint on G.I.Joe figures was changed into a head "ball." This ball allowed the head to look up and down, in addition to left and right.

International Variants

In France, Bazooka was released on a G.I. Joe: Heros Sans Frontieres card.
