WILD WEASEL (v1)
COBRA RATTLER PILOT
Wild Weasel came with no accessories.
Primary Specialty: Ground support pilot
Wild Weasel cut his teeth in the bus wars of South America and Africa during the last decade. His knowledge of close support aircraft ranges from jury-rigged civilian conversions to ultra state-of-the-art flying weapons platforms. A mouth injury inflicted during a strafing run is rumored to be the cause of the characteristic sibilance in his speech pattern.
Wild Bill says: "He may be a back-shootin', low down snake in the grass, but the boy can fly like nobody's business. You gotta respect the skunk for that! Hey-what did Voltaire say? To forgive our enemies their virtues-that is the greater miracle."
No variations of Wild Weasel (v1) are known to exist.
Wild Weasel's body mold was made up of entirely original parts.
The body mold was re-used in 1988 to create the figure Sky Striker.
Note that the figure's head only turns left and right - it does not allow the head to look up and down. The heads only turned left and right until the the swivel ball head that was introduced in 1985 (Series Four).
Some international versions of Wild Weasel have a 1988 date stamp instead of a 1984 date stamp. At some point after the mold was used to create Sky Striker, the mold was re-used to create more Wild Weasel figures.
In the United Kingdom and Europe, Wild Weasel was renamed Red Wolf and released with the Roboskull vehicle.
Funskool released Wild Weasel carded in 2002 in India.
