Primary Specialty: Mountaineering
Secondary Specialty: Finance Clerk
Motto: "What I do is an attempt to defy gravity."
From the middle of the flat dusty Snake River Plain where ALPINE was born, he could see the mountains on the horizon in almost every direction, like a physical barrier between him and the world he wanted. He took up mountain climbing during college and continued as a recreational climber during his brief tenure as an accountant for a large publishing firm. Seeking more meaninful ascensions, he joined the Army, trained at Mountain Warfare School, Camp Ethan Allen and graduated Ranger School, Fort Benning. He was quickly recruited into the G.I. JOE team, where his unique specialty could be put to more important use.
When the TIGER FORCE special operations unit sent notification of an upcoming deployment to a hostile fire zone, ALPINE volunteered to be a door gunner on the TIGER HAWK helicopter. Firing a heavy machine gun at ground and air enemies, from a sideward hovering aircraft in a crosswind, while deploying ropes and hoisting crewmembers to safety, is just another perilous balance act for him. Sometimes, it's only at half the altitude he normally operates!
No variations of Alpine (v7) are known to exist.
Alpine (version 7) was created using the torso and waist of Firefly (v26) (2013), the upper left arm of Flint (v21) (2013), the right arm and lower left arm of Law & Order (v6) (2011), the legs of Kwinn (v2) (2013), and the head of Alpine (v6) (2015).
