Sandstorm was released boxed with the RAM Cycle for the Rise of Cobra line in 2010.
This set was originally intended to be a part of a wave of Target exclusive vehicles released in early 2010. For reasons not officially known, the wave was instead liquidated through Ross stores in December of that year.

Sandstorm was created using using the head of Firefly (v14) (2007), the torso and upper arms of Duke (v34) (2009), and the head, waist, lower arms, and legs of Shipwreck (v14) (2009).
